Vilamoura || The Hospital Particular do Algarve (HPA) group will be holding its first Algarve Golf Medicine Meeting on October 10 at Hotel Tivoli Victoria in Vilamoura.
Taking place between 9.30am and 12.30pm, the event will include a number of presentations by golf and medical specialists.
Invited speakers include Roger Hawkes, Chief Medical Officer of the European PGA Tour and a member of the International Golf Federation’s Medical Commission; and Tim Van Heusden, a PGA Professional specialised in golf biomechanics, as well as a number of other specialist health professionals.
They will all attempt to provide insight into the correlation between golf and medicine.
The group has said that the event is aimed at “golfers, professional athletes and health professionals” and was prompted by Portugal’s Golf Masters, which will be held between October 9-12 at the Oceânico Victoria golf course in Vilamoura.
Admission is free but seats are limited, thus booking is compulsory.
