HPA group celebrates 20th anniversary

The Hospital Particular do Algarve (HPA) group will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its Alvor Hospital on Friday (May 13) with the opening of a new hybrid operating room and the inauguration of its renovated ophthalmology department.

In a statement, the HPA group explains that hybrid operating rooms are now a “worldwide trend”, allowing doctors to carry out surgical and non-surgical procedures in the same room, while using the high-definitions images from top-quality scanners to increase the safety and wellbeing of patients.

The group also explained that the hospital’s renovated ophthalmology department is now capable of dealing with all aspects of a patient’s treatment, including diagnosis, medical appointments and surgeries.
