Private health group HPA has announced the opening of a Covid-19 testing station at its Gambelas Hospital in Faro in partnership with Unilabs.
The testing station will offer two forms of testing – RT-PCR (swab) or antigen (IgG and IgM antibodies through blood analysis), costing €100 and €35 each, respectively. Results will be available within 24 to 48 hours for the RT-PCR tests and within two hours in the case of the antigen tests.
“The IgG and IgM antigen serological tests should not be performed in the acute phase of the infection, as they may give a false negative result,” warns the HPA group.
The testing station will be open every day from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
A drive-through test can also be booked for the Portimão Arena testing centre which is also open daily from 9am to 6pm.
Both require tests to be booked in advance by telephone or online at https://www.unilabs.pt/marcacoes-covid-19#
