Housework reduces men’s libido

A study published in the February issue of the American Sociological Review claims that men who do more household chores such as cleaning, cooking and washing have less sex drive than those who don’t.

According to Sabino Kornrich, researcher at Juan March Institute in Madrid, who led the study, “couples in which there is a greater male participation in tasks traditionally assigned to women report having less sexual intercourse”. On the other hand, couples in which men participate more in traditionally masculine tasks such as yard work, paying bills or auto maintenance report higher sexual frequency.
