House prices in Portugal continue to increase in spite of crisis

House prices in Portugal have continued to increase in spite of the deep economic crisis caused by the pandemic. Says Expresso, April saw an increase of 3% in comparison to prices being asked “exactly a year ago” when the country was already grappling with the problems resulting from Covid-19. Citing the ‘Residential price index’ published by real estate market intelligence unit Confidencial Imobiliário, the paper adds: “If we compare the evolution of prices for April with the previous month, there is also a slight increase – albeit of 0.9%.”
