A charity event organised by Petchey Leisure (MGM Group) on September 13 at Clube Praia da Oura Hotel, Albufeira, raised much-needed funds for the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Albufeira (SCMA), which supports two local children’s homes.
Proceeds, totalling €5,000, went to Os Pirilampos and A Gaivota. The children from the homes broke away from their routine and enjoyed a different kind of day, full of entertainment, music and dancing.
Many people joined the event and helped out by purchasing handicrafts and sweets made by SCMA residents.
Petchey Leisure handed over a €5,000 cheque for the purchase of school supplies.
