Joachim Hartl (pictured left), General Manager of the recently opened Conrad Algarve Hotel, became Almancil International Rotary Club’s (AIRC) newest member at a meeting held recently at the hotel.
Born in 1973 in Austria, Joachim attended the Hotel and Management School in Austria and in 1998 was appointed Food and Beverage Manager at the prestigious Hilton Hotel in Park Lane London. From there he joined the Hilton Hotel in Athens as its Director of Operations. Another move within the Hilton Group followed in 2006 when he was appointed Food and Beverage Manager for Hilton Europe.
Joachim moved to the Algarve in 2011 to oversee the construction of the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Quinta do Lago which he opened in October 2012.
Volker Biebesheimer (pictured right), AIRC President, said: “In these difficult times it is more important than ever to support local communities and people who are less fortunate than others. Joachim has been instrumental in initiating several projects doing just that and we are proud to have him as a member.”
