Hotel Algarve 2008 fair

A THREE-day fair for professional restaurateurs, caterers, supermarket and hotel owners is to take place at the Estádio Algarve from Sunday (June 1) until June 3.

This year’s theme is cooking innovation, with live demonstrations by some of the Algarve’s best chefs including members from the Associação de Cozinheiros e Pasteleiros do Algarve, the Algarve’s  chef’s and baker’s association, who will create ice sculptures as well as sugar and patisserie work during the fair.

Top brands including Miele and AGA Cookers International will be demonstrating their latest models of laundry machines and cookers, while companies such as Floorhard, Elsafe, Extingalgarve and Farame will be displaying restaurant and hotel kitchen hardware.

Lord Charlie Brocket, best known for appearing on I’m a celebrity get me out of here, is to launch his range of ethical groceries in person at the Hotel Algarve 2008 exhibition.

Brocket Hall Foods range is one of a number of English and Scottish food producers, including Churches Sausages and Coombes Castle brands, who are exhibiting at the show that will also include examples of Portuguese food suppliers showing everything from pastries to meat products. Lagoa and Lagos wineries will also be present at the fair under the banner Adega Cooperativa do Algarve, the Algarve cooperative winery.

HotelAlgarve 2008 is open each day from 10am until 8pm and until 7pm on June 3. Entrance is free.
