AN INVESTIGATION was launched in November, at
the request of Silves Câmara President Isabel Soares, into the involvement of five workers in irregularities of five million euros worth of
construction contracts.
Two members of staff have been suspended from work for 60 days and the other three are still being investigated. Disciplinary action against the staff is now in the hands of the judicial police and the public ministry.
