Another weekend of sunny, hot and dry weather is expected in Portugal, where maximum temperatures will be topping 30ºC throughout most of the country on Saturday and Sunday.
In fact, 10 districts in mainland Portugal will be on “yellow alert” until Saturday due to high temperatures, according to the Portuguese Sea and Atmosphere Institute (IPMA).
Forecasters say maximum temperatures will reach 33º in Faro, 34ºC in Lisbon and 30ºC in Porto and a scorching 39ºC in some parts of the Alentejo region on Saturday. Minimum temperatures will also be fairly high, so expect warm, tropical nights.
