Faro Mayor Macário Correia has expressed doubts that the project for the construction of the new Hospital Central do Algarve in Faro will start any time soon.
He said to Lusa news agency: “I will only believe in the development of the structure when I see working machines on the ground where the hospital is going to be built.”
The president of the Regional Health Administration of the Algarve (ARS), Rui Lourenço, said that the project had not stopped.
“Despite initial delays, everything is proceeding within the time allocated for the job,” he said.
