Hospital ‘saved’

It may be a temporary victory, but the Administrative Court of Lisbon has decided to send an appeal by the government pushing for the closure of Lisbon’s landmark Alfredo da Costa maternity hospital to a higher court. This decision has delighted all those who have been fighting long and hard to save the health facility from closure as it means it will remain open for the time being. The health ministry, however, hopes the appeal won’t be rejected.
