A new programme of exercise is being promoted at the Hospital Particular do Algarve in Alvor.
Dr Carlos Moedas has been leading a new initiative every Sunday to which all readers of the Algarve Resident are invited to join in.
The group is free to join and invites walkers or cyclists to turn up at the meeting point, 10am every Sunday next to the municipal swimming pool in Alvor.
So far, staff and clients at the hospital have been getting involved in the health scheme and it is hoped that more people will join them in getting fit together for 2012.
