Horses for courses as William cruises home in level par

As William Stewart eluded to in his acceptance speech, Red Rum loved Aintree as he loves Palmares and after visiting the winners enclosure last year with 38 points and a hole-in-one he went 2 points better this year with 40 points playing off a handicap of 4.
Ernie Johnston (39 points) and Tony Lopategui (36 points) were second and third respectively, with Brendan Sheehan, Syl Cronin, Marie Scullion and Elaine Lopategui nearest the pin winners.
Organisers Atlantic Golf Society thank the sponsors, CL Solutions and Onyria Palmares, who provided restaurant and golf vouchers to the winners as well as chicken and chips at the presentation at the Atlantic bar.
