A man in his 50s is reported to have attacked clients in a Lagoa café in the early hours of Monday morning, ostensibly because the owner said it was time to close and he had “only just arrived”. The injured clients, both in their 20s, had to be transported to hospital. The assailant made off, but was later caught and arrested. He has been described as aged 54, suspected of two previous attempts at homicide, and ‘drunk’ at the time of this and previous alleged attacks.
