HOROSCOPES FOR MAY 23 TO MAY 29

By: MARY MORRISON

GEMINI (May 21 to June 21)

There might be a hint of gloom in the atmosphere this morning (Friday) which give rise to some sobering thoughts. However, Venus enters your sign tomorrow (Saturday) night, which should help restore the balance and give you a lift. Mercury, your ruling planet, currently in your sign, turns retrograde, on Monday, as does Neptune, giving rise to a certain amount of confusion. Wednesday’s Moon requires you to be clear in your negotiations.

CANCER (Jun 22 to Jul 22)

The Sun’s conflict to Saturn might have brought about a change of heart regarding an important decision. Friday’s Moon, in your opposite sign Capricorn, will steer you towards a practical course of action which will leave you in little doubt that you have made a wise choice. Mercury and Neptune turn retrograde, on Monday, which could complicate things in the legal and financial sense. However, Thursday’s Moon joins hands with Uranus, which should work wonders in giving you some inspiration.

LEO (Jul 23 to Aug 22)

You might have the feeling you have fallen flat on your face and that nothing seems to be going the way you want it to. This tricky phase can only last a short time. You are advised to complete anything that might be left pending on Monday morning, as Mercury and Neptune turn retrograde in the afternoon, which could put the brakes on everything for a while. Tuesday’s Moon joins hands with Neptune to present you with an opportunity to spend some quality time with a loved one.

VIRGO (Aug 23 to Sep 22)

The time has come for you to change the game plan and choose a less complicated route! There is little point in beating your head against a wall for the sake of something that will simply cause you more angst. Relax and enjoy a weekend with family and friends. Things are likely to seem to be moving at snail’s pace this week, due to the retrograde movement of Mercury, your ruling planet and of Neptune. However, Thursday’s Moon joins hands with Uranus to bring you a pleasant surprise.

LIBRA (Sep 23 to Oct 23)

You are not usually in the habit of walking away from unfinished business, but there are times when you have to say enough is enough. Recent conflict between the Sun and Saturn has probably led you to draw a line under a certain set of circumstances. Your ruling planet, Venus, enters the sign of Gemini, tomorrow (Saturday), which is likely to point you in the direction of pastures new and perhaps far afield. Tuesday evening shows promise if you are open to a romantic liaison.

SCORPIO (Oct 24 to Nov 21)

The overall picture seems not too clever, particularly where business and financial matters are concerned. However, you need not imagine the worst; there is another card up your sleeve. Mercury and Neptune both turn retrograde on Monday which will slow things down, giving you time to rectify the situation. You will need to have your wits about you on Tuesday, when Neptune’s influence could lead you up the garden path.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22 to Dec 21)

You might feel disappointed this Friday, when things do not turn out the way that you had hoped. Your expectations can run high. The weekend could provide you with time to relax and let your hair down. Monday’s Moon highlights the effects of Mercury’s retrograde movement, in your solar house of partnership where you might have some explaining to do. The Moon’s conjunction to the eccentric Uranus is likely to spring a surprise, on Thursday, where land or property deals are concerned.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22 to Jan 19)

The Moon’s conjunction to Jupiter, currently retrograde in your sign, could signify an upturn for you. You seem to have been fighting a losing battle recently. However, Mercury’s retrograde movement could prove beneficial on Monday afternoon. Neptune also turns retrograde, within the hour of Mercury doing so, which is likely to obscure the vision of anyone who might have stood in your way. You are likely to be feeling generous towards your loved ones on Tuesday.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20 to Feb 18)

You seem to have been kept in the dark recently and you are beginning to see the light. The truth might hurt but at least you now know where you stand. Venus enters the sign of Gemini, tomorrow (Saturday) evening, lighting the way to romance. Neptune, currently in your sign, turns retrograde, on Monday, which could be instrumental in helping you get to the bottom of things. A flash of inspiration, on Thursday, will help you to change things for the better.

PISCES (Feb 19 to Mar 20)

Things might seem to be a little out of the ordinary, at the start of the weekend, where relations with your loved ones are concerned. However, Saturday’s Moon joins hands with Jupiter, which should help to straighten things out. Mercury turns retrograde on Monday, which indicates a period dedicated to time spent working on, or in, the home. Your ruling planet, Neptune, also turns retrograde on Monday and is in conjunction with the Moon, on Tuesday, which might cause you to change your mind, on a certain matter.

ARIES (Mar 21 to Apr 19)

The Moon and Jupiter have some influence over today’s (Friday) negotiations and with some input on your part you have a chance to tie things up before the weekend. If, on the other hand, you are unable to succeed, before Monday afternoon, when Mercury and Neptune turn retrograde, you might have a long wait before you can proceed further. The Moon’s conjunction to Neptune will ring in the changes. One word of warning; you need to be sure that you are not jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

TAURUS (Apr 20 to May 20)

The chances are that you have a journey planned for this weekend with pleasure in mind and unless you have the misfortune to be caught up in business through family ties, you are likely to be taking a trip. The Moon’s conjunction to Jupiter tomorrow (Saturday) will encourage you to broaden your horizons and fill you with the desire to learn something new. Mercury, currently in your solar house of income and expenditure, turns retrograde on Monday. You are advised, therefore, to tighten your belt, financially speaking.
