One of the largest Honda dealerships in Portugal was due to open yesterday (Thursday) in the commercial area of the Algarve Motor Park.
Macromotor will occupy a 700 square metre space with 400 square metres dedicated to commercial use and the remaining space to be used as a workshop.
The dealership represents an investment of around €700,000, creating 10 jobs.
It is hoped that this latest enterprise at the Algarve Motor Park will create a level of sustainability for the complex while encouraging commercial growth.
Riders Miguel Praia, Sam Lowes and James Ellison were due to be testing various Honda models on the opening day.
Paulo Pinheiro the CEO of Parkalgar said: “The opening of this Honda dealership is especially significant to us, not only because of the connection we have with the brand as is reflected in the Parkalgar Honda World Supersport team, but also as an important commercial factor in this area.”
He added: “Our aim is for the commercial area at the Algarve Motor Park to grow in the short term and for it to become a place that people want to visit not only for the circuit but for other reasons too. We want the complex to become a place that is able to appeal to a wide range of different people.”
