Homeless Ukrainian found dead in Loulé

An investigation is underway in Loulé after a 54-year-old Ukrainian man was found dead in a makeshift carpark .

The man, who was apparently homeless and living in a car, was found early this morning with various injuries, particularly to his face.

He was allegedly discovered by two friends who maintain he was alive at the time, and told them he had been in a fight.

Locals interviewed by CMTV have since said that all three men started living in the carpark near the football stadium “about two months ago”.

The men used to cook food over campfires, and drink a lot, said one.

PJ criminal police are interviewing the two friends as “witnesses”, adds CMTV, suggesting murder could be a possibility.

Meantime an autopsy will go ahead “in the next few days” to determine the exact causes of death.
