The Portuguese U-16 national side defeated their Italian counterparts 2-1 in the final match of the Holland Cup to lift the prestigous trophy in the Algarve.
The next generation of international stars had previously drawn 1-1 with competition organisers Holland and beaten Ireland 1-0 to set up the Ferreiras title showdown.
Hoping to emulate that performance will be the U-17s who will be taking on the Ukraine tomorrow (Saturday) at 3pm, France on Sunday at 3pm and England on Monday at 11am within the context of the International Algarve Tournament in Albufeira.
