An action-packed weekend at the International Autodrome of the Algarve drew to a close with a dual victory for the home Parkalgar Portimão Racing Team.
Jose Monroy and Francisco Guedes dominated the GT4 class in their Ferrari 360 and won both finals to extend their lead in the national championship.
A noteworthy performance also came from Parkalgar managing director Paulo Pinheiro, who partnered racing journalist Roger Green to fifth place in the GT Open class driving a Aston Martin DBRS9.
Racing returns to the Portimão Motor Park as soon as this weekend when the S1 Superbike GP of Portugal World Championship round takes to the brand new kart track – entry is free for residents of Portimão who can obtain tickets at the usual sales points without charge upon production of either their ‘Residencia’/Citizen or voting card.
