Home streak

Two second half Simi strikes added to Márcio Madeira’s opener just before the interval to send bottom club Freamunde home well beaten last Sunday afternoon.

Coupled with the previous weekend’s 4-2 demolition of Trofense, the Algarvians appear to have shaken off their home inhibitions – unfortunately the midweek away trip to Porto B did not end to coach Lazaro Oliveira’s satisfaction as an early lead was overturned by the home side who went on to secure the final 2-1 scoreline in the 83rd minute.

Portimonense, currently joint seventh in the 22-club table with 36 points from 25 games, next play at Feirense this Sunday before hoping to continue their home streak against Braga B the following weekend.
