Danish household goods brand JYSK will open its third store in the Algarve at the Portimão Retail Centre on Saturday, April 13. There will be discounts, vouchers and entertainment on the day to celebrate the occasion.
JYSK is one of Europe’s leading household goods companies, selling mattresses, furniture and interior décor.
The new 750sqm store in Portimão will stock a large part of the brand’s products, the Danish chain says in a statement.
Products are largely inspired by “Scandinavian design” while the themes vary from season to season.
Says JYSK, the Portimão store will focus on the company’s strengths such as “quality products at the best prices, brand products and specialised advice for all categories of products”.
“What sets JYSK apart from other brands is the specific training that its teams undergo. JYSK employees always provide the best advice,” the company says.
The store will be open every day from 10am to 10pm.
The first JYSK store was inaugurated in 1979 by the founder and owner of the company, Lars Larsen, in Aarhus, Denmark.
In 1984, the company expanded to Germany and, over the years, grew all over the world. Today, the company has over 200 stores in Sweden, France, Spain, Italy and Portugal, where the first JYSK store opened in 2016.
