New offices to help home owners with documentation, legislation and tax payments have opened in the Algarve.
The offices, which are in Olhão, Vila do Bispo and Faro, are part of the Casa Pronta services being offered to citizens by the government for free.
Staff at Casa Pronta are trained to deal with all enquiries relating to the buying and selling of property in Portugal.
Not only are people able to seek advice from staff but home owners are also able to pay taxes, request tax exemptions and refer to records. The services provided by Casa Pronta are considered by Portuguese consumer rights group DECO to be particularly advantageous to citizens, making the process of buying and selling a home in Portugal simpler while also making documentation more affordable by being available in one place, saving each user between 60 and 70 per cent on costs.
