A ceremony to mark the laying of the first stone of a home for the elderly in Tôr, in the municipality of Loulé, was held recently.
The Lar de Idosos will be able to accommodate 57 residents, with the project also offering home care service for 40 people.
The project represents an investment of €1.8 million, partly funded by the EU, and is expected to be completed within 18 months.
