At the same time British riders swept the board in the principal Superbike class, with Jonathan Rae (Ten Kate Honda), Leon Haslam (Suzuki), Shane Byrne (Dukati) and Supersport graduate Cal Crutchlow (Yamaha) recording the quickest times respectively in the 20-man field.
