Travel operator Skyscanner.net has revealed that Faro was one of the top ten most searched for holiday destinations for 2009 by British travellers in December.
Faro ranked number six, with London being the most searched for destination, fulfilling predictions of increased domestic tourism in the UK in 2009.
Barry Smith, Skyscanner co-founder, said: “It is still early days for 2009 bookings but already we can see that British people don’t want to give up on their beach holidays.”
