Police are investigating a hit-and-run case which led to the death of a British male resident, whose body was found on the side of the road between Santa Bárbara de Nexe and Bordeira on March 3 at around 6am.
The man, whose name was not confirmed by the authorities, was aged 37 and lived a kilometre away from where he was hit.
The British Embassy in Lisbon confirmed to the Algarve Resident that it had offered assistance to the family of the victim. GNR are investigating the case.
