One day after reaching his highest world ranking ever at No82, Faro tennis ace Rui Machado dismissed San Marino first round opponent Adrian Ungur 6-1, 6-2.
However, the 27-year-old Algarvean was unable to follow up that success when coming out second best in a 6-3, 4-6, 6-7 tussel with former junior world No1 Martin Klizan.
Machado will now concentrate on his preparation for the US Open which begins at the end of this month.
