Hint of breakthrough in negotiations between doctors and health ministry

A hint of a breakthrough in negotiations between doctors and the health ministry has come today, following a meeting in which unions representing the former presented their proposals for a deal to unblock the current impasse. Says SIM, the syndicate of independent doctors, the ministry has “not closed the door” on any of the proposals jointly presented with FNAM (the national federation of doctors), and a new meeting has been scheduled for Sunday. In the meantime, the ministry will analyse syndicates’ ideas, presenting a counter-proposal on Saturday – and SIM/ FNAM will then have until Sunday at 5pm to state their position.
