A fundraising evening at the Cockerel Country Kitchen in Albufeira was attended by more than 50 members of the Carole’s Buddies club, in aid of the Help for Heroes (H4H) initiative.
H4H is an organisation devoted to helping the wounded servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.
The event raised €900 and a cheque for this amount has already been sent to H4H.
The group will host their next meeting at the Holiday Inn, Armação da Pêra, at 7.30pm on February 15, where the Oxford Fiddle Group will entertain for the evening and a buffet dinner will be served.
Tickets cost €20, of which €5 will be donated to H4H.
