A wine and food pairing event is again taking place at Le Meridien Penina Hotel tonight (Friday).
Following the Quinta da Aveleda Experience at the hotel on July 8, it is now the turn of Herdade dos Grous to showcase its wines. A four-course dinner will be served from 8.15pm at Le Grill restaurant, while a bilingual sommelier from Adega de Aveleda will be explaining the characteristics of the wines chosen to match the different courses.
Customers will be able to try cuttlefish ink risotto, slow-poached rabbit matched with Herdade dos Grous 23 Barricas 2009 or beef fillet mignon, red onion and fresh fig chutney matched with Moon Harvest 2009.
Herdade dos Grous, located in Albernoa, Beja (Alentejo), produces wines combining traditional methods with new technologies.
The cost per person is €39, including the wines.
