The Algarve Resident has teamed up with Lagoa Bombeiros to offer five readers, aged 10 to 16, the chance to be a fireman for a morning!

Winners will be treated to a grand tour of the station, as well as a ride through Lagoa in a fire engine.

There will also be a chance to wear some of the amazing protective fire fighting clothes and helmets and put out a fire at the station!

WIN the chance to fly sky high… in a former British Royal Air Force Chipmunk aerobatic aircraft!

The Algarve Resident has teamed up with Aero Algarve to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a 30 minute flight above the region either to sight see or try a dare devil loop the loop air stunt.

This flight of a lifetime competition is open to anyone aged from 15 upwards and less than 85kg in weight.

DESIGN A CHRISTMAS CARD!

An independent panel of judges will pick the best designs which will be used in a selection of Christmas cards to be launched later this year to raise much needed funds for the Lagoa fire brigade.

To enter, simply email your design to news@algarveresident.com, or hand it in or post it to the Algarve Resident offices at Rua Visconde de Lagoa, nº2 and 3, 8400-329, Lagoa.

Please ensure that you include your full name, age, address and contact telephone number.  The closing date for this competition is Thursday, July 23 at 5pm, with winners being announced by telephone prior to their names being published in the newspaper.

Normal Algarve Resident rules apply, however as this competition is for charity it is open to everyone of all ages.
