Readers are reminded that a campaign to collect blankets and warm clothing for the needy is still running in Lagos. The initiative, until February 28, is being promoted by the municipality’s social welfare services, with the aim of providing a warmer winter for the most vulnerable in the council. Donations should be taken to the ‘Banco de Recursos Lagos Solidário’ at Rua José Afonso, Lote 23, Cave B in Lagos. It is open Monday from 3pm to 5pm, Tuesday to Thursday from 10am to 12.30pm and 3pm to 5pm, and Friday from 10am to 12.30pm.
