Health minister believes possible to avoid doctors’ strike in March

Portugal’s health minister Manuel Pizarro has said today that he believes it is possible to find “sufficient points of consensus” in negotiations with the national federation of doctors (FNAM) to avoid the strike planned for two days in March (8-9). FNAM however has stressed that it can see no option, due to what the federation calls the “impasse” in negotiations.
