Have a laugh with the ICF

The International Christian Fellowship (ICF) has decided to take their faith in their hands and offer themselves up to you solely for your entertainment.

Fed up of watching television shows based on violence and bad language, Jenny Grainer has put together an evening of good, clean fun in aid of five worthwhile causes, Bom Samaritano (Alvor), Castelo de Sonhos (Silves), Tear Fund (International), Leprosy Mission (Portugal) and Resposta (Portimão). The variety show with performances from a stage school in Albufeira, a Lagos ballet school, fantastic gospel choir and a guest appearance from professional singer Ilza will be hosted at the Lagos Cultural Centre at 7.30pm on Thursday May 5 and Friday May 6.

Not only will the evening be filled with music but the laughter element will be supplied by the Vicar of St. Vincent’s and a Texan pastor from ICF, proving that the church really does has a sense of humour. There will be no preaching on the night, or sermons offered, just a lot of laughs, smiles and applause.

Jenny has directed and produced many shows in the past but this is a complete break away from anything that she has been used to. ‘We haven’t had a full blown rehearsal as yet’, she said smiling, “we’re hoping that all the different groups have spent time rehearsing, I’m sure it will all come together on the night, if not the unexpected is always more fun!” Go along, have a laugh and support these charities.
