Bishop John Baycroft conducted the Harvest Festival service at St. Luke’s Church last Sunday.
The church was decorated with autumn flowers and the altar steps were laden with boxes and baskets of food to be distributed to the Portuguese people around the area of Santa Bárbara de Nêxe. The congregations of Almancil Church of England and St. Lukes joined together as Bishop John explained the history of the Harvest Festival.
