The Barlavento International Primary School in Espiche, Lagos, is situated in easily accessible countryside away from busy roads.
The school caters for children of all nationalities up to the age of 11 and follows the English-based curriculum. In addition, the children have daily Portuguese lessons and are introduced to worldwide cultures.
The four classes have a maximum of 17 pupils each, which allows the dedicated teachers to give each child individual attention.
There is a wonderfully happy family atmosphere and the older children willingly integrate and care for the younger ones at lunch and play.
The school is non-profit making: any surplus from fees, along with funds raised by our active Parent Fund Raising committee, is used to improve our facilities.
