Halloween turned to horror in Viseu last Saturday night after 40 masked youths went on a pillaging spree through a commercial area. Shop and car windows were smashed, rubbish containers set alight and even people were targeted. No arrests were made, but police are investigating, saying they have already identified six of those involved. The vandals were described as aged between 12 and 20.
Some are understood to be “known to the authorities”, while others may simply have joined in due to the anonymity afforded by their disguises.
