Haitian art in the Algarve

An exhibition of Haitian art will be shown at the Galeria Alegria in Loulé tomorrow (Saturday) from 6pm.

Thirty per cent of all the proceeds raised on the evening will be sent to Haiti to help earthquake survivors and their families to rebuild their lives.

The Galeria Alegria was first opened in 2004 by Liz deLisser to show examples of Haitian art in the Algarve and since her death in 2006 it has been run by her partner Mark Flynn who hopes that this exhibition will indirectly allow the Haitian people to help fund their own rebuilding of their country.
