Movember, the month of the moustache, has now finished and Algarve resident Chris Winstanley and his team have raised approximately €800, with donations still being received.
Money raised will be used in a global effort to defeat male related illnesses, and will be donated to charities such as the Prostate Cancer Charity and the Institute of Cancer Research.

When asked about his “mo-growing”, Chris Winstanley said: “The first two weeks were very itchy, but then it settled down. I am thinking of promoting a full Portuguese website for next year, to get more people involved.”

Throughout the process Chris was compared to the Dolmio man and Rene Artois from Allo Allo.
“On the last day, I had a ceremonial shave off with my mate Andi Hyde, and then a bottle of bubbly and a good meal. It was great not to get food caught in the mo for a change,” said Chris.
