Hailstones have destroyed 600 hectares of cherries and peaches in Fundão. Growers have said it was the ‘worst time’ for the hailstorm, as the trees had all finished flowering. It is complete local disaster as many producers don’t have insurance to cover this level of losses, reports TSF radio.
