A 35-year-old Portuguese gypsy has been arrested following the mass running over of a group of 10 gypsies at Torrejon de Ardoz, on the outskirts of Madrid, that left four of them dead, and four others seriously injured. According to reports the suspect drove into the group at high speed in a car in which he was carrying his teenage children. The incident happened in the context of a large wedding party, in which discussions ‘broke out’ between the suspect and members of the other family involved. According to reports, “thousands of euros in €10, €20, €50 and €100 notes” were found under one of the car seats. The man and his two children are to appear before magistrates.
