Flexibility, strength and balance will all be on show in Portimão this month when the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup returns to the arena at the Parque das Feiras e Exposições.
The event was first held in Portimão last October and, due to its success, organisers have requested to hold the event once again in the Portimão Arena from April 26-29.
Spectators will have the chance to watch one of the most beautiful of Olympic events up close featuring 36 nations from all over the world.
The gymnasts focus solely on rhythm and describe themselves as works of art in motion.
Organisers from the International Gymnastics Federation have promised several improvements from last year’s competition, including a larger training area and separate schedules for the juniors and seniors.
