AN ELDERLY man was arrested at his home in Faro last week for possessing more than 90 stolen and false credit cards and nine blank Italian identity cards.
The man used the credit cards to draw out around 60,000 euros from Citibank, Millennium BCP and HSBC bank accounts. A car, five mobile phones and jewellery were also seized during the raid. The man, who had lived in Estoi for four years, is believed to be Italian, but his own identity has not yet been confirmed.
