What was thought to be a grenade which had been dug up at a vacant plot of land in Portimão on Wednesday morning turned out to be a car part.
Reports Correio da Manhã, authorities were indeed alerted that a grenade had been found at the site.
PSP police, firefighters and civil protection services were dispatched to the scene, where a PSP Special Unit confirmed that the item was in fact a car part.
