Members of the newly-formed Vila da Luz Bowls Club took to their new eight-rink world class bowling green for the first time on September 12 in Luz.
The new green was deemed so successful by Greengauge, the UK supplier of the artificial carpet for the green, that it will feature in the company brochure, while the Chairman of the company has declared that he will be sponsoring a future competition at the club.
Members concluded the weekend with a practice session in preparation for a match against a Spanish team in October.
