Great-grandmother feels lost without her world’s longest nai

A great-grandmother who had the world’s longest nails until they were snapped off in a car crash says she feels lost without them.

However, 68-year-old Lee Redmond from Salt Lake City, Utah, said since her 34-inch nails snapped off she was able to get around a lot easier.

Lee had been growing her nails for 30 years at the time of the crash in February and they had reached an incredible combined length of 8.65 metres. The great-grandmother has said she feels she has now lost part of her identity and that they were more to her than just nails.

Her nails now measure at just 4.5 inches but she says she will not start to grow them again as it would take another 30 years to reach their former glory.
