Grape harvesting begins in Alentejo, with great prospects

Grape harvesting has begun in the Alentejo, a week earlier than usual – with reports suggesting the additional sunlight and warmer weather has worked very well in the sector’s favour. 2023 should be a good year for Alentejo  wines at a time when exports have increased by around 8%. This week’s harvesting will concentrate on rosé wines, with next week seeing grape picking progress to white grape varieties.
