British man Graham Mitchell was arrested on March 6 at his family home in Kent, UK, after a European Arrest Warrant was issued by the Portuguese authorities.
The warrant, which accuses him of first degree murder, despite having been cleared of an attempted murder charge 17 years ago and the alleged victim being alive, places him before the courts once more, and facing possible extradition to Portugal.
After the Algarve Resident went to press, Graham was due to be brought before the Westminster Magistrates’ Court on March 28.
Progress on his case will be included in the April 6 edition of the Algarve Resident.
