Government ‘vehemently condemns’ latest attacks in Jerusalem

Portugal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that the government “condemns vehemently” the recent attacks in Jerusalem, which left one person dead and 18 injured, and which the authorities in Israel have classified as a “terrorist attack” committed by Palestinians. “All forms of terrorism must be firmly rejected,” read a tweet posted by the ministry. “Full solidarity with the Israeli authorities and heartfelt condolences to the families. Wishing a swift recovery to those injured.” Two explosions near bus stops rocked Jerusalem yesterday morning, killing an Israeli-Canadian teenager and injuring at least 18 people. Israel police have attributed the attacks to Palestinian militants.
